Our product has been put through a number of tests that measure the durability and colourfastness of the applied paint.
The result is a 10 Year Guarantee which covers delamination of paint and fading of colour.

Q. How much does a Glass Art splashback cost?
A. Our pricing structure is simple - measure the height by width, plus any switch holes and the time to measure and install.
Q. What colours or effects can I have?
A. We have a range of our own colours and finishes specifically designed for glass splashbacks. We offer solid colours, metallics and pearl finishes. There is a choice of over 60 colours, though if you have your own particular colour, we are happy to formulate it specifically for you.
Q. Is the glass transparent or opaque?
A. Once painted the glass is completely opaque.
Q. What condition do my walls have to be in for installation?
A. We can install our coloured glass on most surfaces that are reasonably level; as long as there are no obstructions sticking out.
Q. What if I have tiles? Can you fit a glass splashback over tiles?
A. Yes we can, though it is preferable if they are removed.
Q. How heat resistant is a Glass Art splashback?
A. For glass directly behind a gas or electric cooking appliance we only use 5mm Toughened glass. Our Toughened glass adheres to all New Zealand Standards Authority regulations regarding combustible surfaces near a gas or electric cooking appliance.
Q. How are Glass Art splashbacks fixed to the wall?
A. We use a market leading clear neutral cure silicone to fix splashbacks to walls. No unsightly screws or holes, though if you require we can apply. Silicone provides a strong, clean and waterproof sealant that does not become mouldy or shrink back under the glass.
Q. How long does it take to manufacture a Glass Art splashback?
A. We have a great system that allows us to perform more effectively and efficiently. A Glass Art splashback is measured, painted and installed within 10 days.
Q. How is the paint applied and how strong is it?
A. We use a spray painting technology that has been tried and tested. Our paint supplier has worked closely with us in providing all the right applications that have been used. The colour is first applied followed by a grey backing which “locks in” the colour. It is then left to cure for 48 hours in a heat controlled environment. Once we are happy with the end result, the glass is ready for installation. We have tested our product against a number of conditions: scratches, heat and moisture, fading and discolouration, and delamination. Our product passed all tests, we even applied paint stripper to really test the paints ability to stick. And it took a number of applications to even begin moving our paint off the glass.
Q. Are Glass Art splashbacks guaranteed?
A. Yes - for 10 Years. Our Glass Art Guarantee covers paint delamination and colour fading. Should this happen we will replace the glass - no questions asked. read our Service Guarantee.
