Installation Instructions

Important: This is a toughened safety glass splashback to be installed directly behind the hob only. Use only the silicone supplied to fix to wall. If installing behind gas hob ensure hob has been installed to manufacturers specifications Failure to adhere to any of the above will forfeit warranty. For stand-alone ovens splashback will need to be supported with a brace while silicone cures.

You will need: caulking gun, silicone (supplied), masking tape, and a brace (if fitting behind a stand-alone oven)

We recommend using methylated spirits to clean off any excess silicone.

1.Check wall for any obstructions. It should be free from any obtrusions, grease, dirt and also be completely dry.

2.Using silicone (as provided) apply a thin bead of silicone along the bench top where glass will sit against the wall behind hob. TIP: use strips of masking tape to provide a clean seal and line on the bottom of splashback and bench top. Wipe excess silicone off with a clean cloth.

3.Apply silicone on painted side of glass, keeping silicone 40mm – 50mm from edges, only apply small amounts - measuring 30mm in diameter. Do Not Apply The Whole Tube of Silicone.(see example below)

4.Sit glass in place on bottom edge. Gently push against wall, once contact has been made firmly push glass against wall.

5.Check the position of glass and move if needed.

6.Allow 24 hours for silicone to fully cure, do not move/adjust splashback during this time. Please Note: Silicone may take longer to cure during colder temperatures.
